In the era of digital transformation and the booming tourism industry, travelers increasingly demand personalized, efficient, and seamless tour booking experiences. To meet this demand, this study proposes the development of an intelligent tour recommendation and booking platform powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and built using advanced technologies such as NextJs, NodeJs, and MariaDB. The platform adopts a scalable layered architecture to ensure flexibility, ease of maintenance, and future growth. Key features include AI-driven tour recommendations based on user preferences, real-time tour availability updates, secure online booking, and automated itinerary planning powered by Apache Kafka’s intelligent event streaming. The system aims to enhance user satisfaction, streamline operations for tour operators, and improve resource allocation in the tourism sector. By leveraging AI, the platform delivers highly personalized travel experiences, reduces booking times, and supports the growing demand for smart tourism solutions in Vietnam’s rapidly evolving travel landscape.
